Guided Writing Support for Independent Thinkers
The Advanced Writing Coach program is designed for students using the Write Through History curriculum who want structured, personalized feedback to refine their research and writing skills. This 15-week coaching service provides individualized guidance, helping students develop stronger arguments, improve clarity, and refine their writing style.
Students are in the driver’s seat when it comes to handling their research, writing, and deadlines, while getting top-notch feedback to sharpen their skills. For each assignment, they’ll upload an outline and final draft into a shared Google Drive document, where the coach will add comments and tips to help them improve. No grades here—this is all about personalized support and growth! That said, if parents want a suggested grade, they can request it at the start of the session.
This program runs for 15 weeks, and coaching covers as many assignments that the student completes during that time. Feedback is typically provided within four business days, ensuring students receive timely guidance.
The Write Through History curriculum is already included—no extra purchase necessary!
How it works

📌 Student-Led Responsibility– Students are responsible for pacing themselves, researching their topic, and following all requirements.
📌 Submission Process – Students upload their outline and final draft via a shared Google Drive document, owned by the student.
📌 Feedback for Improvement – This is a coaching service, not a traditional class. Students receive suggestions to help them refine their writing.
📌 Time-Based Coaching – Coaching lasts for 15 weeks, a full semester credit on any high school transcript.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a class? Will you provide direct instruction on writing skills?
No, this is a coaching service, not a traditional writing class. Students should already have a working knowledge of research and writing fundamentals and are responsible for managing their own time. The coach will provide feedback for improvement on the final written submission, but direct instruction in writing basics is not included.
How often will my student receive feedback?
Students receive comments and suggestions within four business days of submitting an assignment.
Will my student receive a grade?
Grades are not automatically provided, as the focus is on improvement rather than evaluation. However, if a parent requests a grade at the start of the session, a recommended grade can be given based on the student’s progress.
Can my student submit multiple assignments at once?
Assignments should be submitted one at a time to allow for timely feedback. Submitting multiple assignments at once does not guarantee faster feedback or additional reviews within the coaching period.
What happens if my student falls behind or doesn’t submit assignments on time?
Coaching is time-based rather than curriculum-based. Students are responsible for their own pacing and workload. If a student falls behind, coaching still ends at the scheduled 15-week mark, regardless of how many assignments have been completed. No extensions or refunds will be granted.
Does my student need Google Drive?
Yes. Google Drive is required since all assignments are submitted through shared documents.
Can I pause or extend the 15-week coaching period?
No. The coaching service is a 15-week commitment and cannot be paused, extended, or adjusted based on student progress. The expectation is that students will work at a steady pace during the program.
When does the 15-week session begin?
The 15-week period officially begins on the next Monday after at least three full days of preparation.
- Purchases made Mon–Fri: Coaching starts the following Mon (3–7 days later).
- Purchases made Sat or Sun: Coaching starts the Monday eight days later to allow for preparation.
Does this include the Write Through History curriculum?
Yes! The curriculum is included in the coaching service, so there’s no need to purchase it separately.
What if I'm not satisfied with the level of feedback?
Feedback is designed to be constructive and actionable, focusing on helping students improve their writing. If you have concerns about the depth of feedback, you are welcome to reach out for clarification. However, this is a coaching service, not an editing service, so comments will guide revision rather than rewrite the student's work.
Does my student need to revise the final draft after receiving feedback?
Revisions are up to the parents, but keep in mind that the curriculum is already fast-paced. If a student takes time to revise an assignment, it may replace other planned writing work. Some feedback may occasionally include recommendations for revision when it would be particularly beneficial. The primary focus is on helping students grow through coaching, not continuous revision cycles. Additional rounds of feedback beyond the initial review are not guaranteed as part of the coaching service.
What if my student wants to drop before 15 weeks?
When you enroll, you are reserving a dedicated coaching slot for the full 15 weeks, regardless of how much or how little of the service is used. Because this time is set aside specifically for your student, refunds or partial refunds are not available for early withdrawal.
What if I decide this isn’t the right fit after we begin?
Coaching slots are reserved in advance, and refunds are not available after enrollment. Please review all expectations before signing up.
Can my student request additional feedback on the same assignment?
Each assignment submission includes one round of feedback. Additional feedback on the same assignment is not included in the coaching service unless the student resubmits it as a replacement for a new assignment.
How much does it cost?
The cost for the 15-week Advanced Writing Coaching program is $275. This fee includes personalized feedback on writing assignments and access to the Writing Through History curriculum. Because coaching slots are reserved in advance, payment is required at the time of enrollment.

Write Through History
Write Through History
A research-driven writing curriculum designed to challenge advanced students. Write Through History is a series of carefully curated historical topics that students independently research and write about, developing their analytical and composition skills along the way.
Designed as a college-prep course, Writing Through History is available as either a semester-long or year-long program, depending on the student's needs and academic goals.
This curriculum is designed to be used with active coaching and feedback—whether from a parent, teacher, or writing coach—since the real learning comes from the writing process and constructive evaluation. Without guidance, the digital download will appear as a simple list of historical events without much context. If independent grading isn’t available, please consider purchasing ** Advanced Writing Coaching** which includes both the curriculum and ongoing feedback to ensure students gain the full benefit of the program.
